I note the use of past tense; are you no longer making music? Our daughter was in high school in the 80's, so our house was filled with "heavy metal," in spite of my complaints--my taste runs more to country and cool jazz, but I learned to tolerate A.J.'s music, if not her posters.
"That Scotch tape will peel the paint and I'll have to repaint your room when you graduate," I used to say.
